Join us for discussion on critical thinking about the pros and cons of AI in education. Co-facilitators will share and summarize articles that pose critical, and often unanswered, questions about the roles and uses of AI. Possible topics include: asking the “right questions,” exploring disciplinary perspectives on the future of teaching, delineating human intelligence, creating a culture that values learning, and reimagining classroom practices in light of AI. Anyone at UMN with a teaching role is invited. This group is for those who seek to reflect on and discuss with others some of the thorny issues surrounding AI in teaching and learning.
