Sharing Knowledge and Innovation Across the University
The Annual AI Forum (formerly Navigating AI Forum) is the University of Minnesota’s central exchange for AI tools, pedagogical strategies, and research breakthroughs. Designed as a flexible, virtual-first event, the forum provides a space for community members from all five campuses to share practical insights and see how AI is being operationalized across UMN.
This year’s forum features a opening keynote address followed by three distinct breakout tracks: Staff & Administration Operations, Teaching & Instruction, and Interdisciplinary Research. Attendees can drop into specific track sessions or participate across the entire day.

- Track 1 → Staff & Operations: Automated workflows, enterprise tool security (Copilot), and administrative efficiency.
- Track 2 → Teaching & Instruction: Syllabus design, academic integrity policies, and AI literacy in the classroom.
- Track 3 → Research & Compute: Leveraging high-performance computing, grant opportunities, and collaborative data projects.
