Preparing the future workforce for an AI-driven economy starts well before college matriculation. Each July, the ML Summer Program brings high school students from across the region to the University of Minnesota to explore the mechanics behind artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Designed for curious minds regardless of prior coding experience, this two-week summer intensive combines classroom learning, hands-on lab sessions, and ethical discussions to demystify complex technology.
Inside the Two-Week Curriculum
Guided by UMN researchers and graduate mentors, participants transition from basic computational concepts to building and training their own basic machine learning models.
